Motherhood Wellness

No one has it all together. And that’s perfectly okay.

I honestly think that being a parent is the wildest ride out there. Whether you’re running after little ones, working from home, or juggling conference calls with laundry piles taller than Mount Everest, you’re in the thick of it. And can we just take a second to give ourselves a well-deserved pat on the back? Because seriously, we’re doing it all. We may not have capes, but we’re definitely superheroes. (Okay, maybe we do have capes… but they’re usually just towels we’re wearing after finally getting five minutes of peace in the shower!)

I’m writing this because, well, I get it. Life as a mom can be intense, overwhelming, and, let’s be honest, downright messy. But amidst the chaos, there are these little glimmers of magic that keep us going. You know, like that moment when your toddler finally falls asleep and you feel like you’ve conquered the world… or when you realize you made it through the day with only one cup of coffee (or five, but who’s counting?).

Let’s Talk About the Juggle

For those of you working full-time, whether in an office or from home, I know you’re balancing a million things. Zoom calls with a baby on your lap? Been there. Typing emails with one hand while stirring mac and cheese with the other? Yup. You’re not alone in the struggle of trying to be everywhere at once. But here’s a secret—multitasking is overrated. (I said it!)

It’s okay if you don’t have it all figured out. None of us do. And that’s okay. Some days, dinner is a four-course masterpiece. Other days, it’s frozen pizza—no shame! The goal isn’t perfection; it’s to keep showing up, even on the days when it feels like everything is unraveling.

Stay-at-Home Moms, You’re Rocking It Too

If you’re a stay-at-home mom, you might hear people say things like, “Oh, you’re just at home?” And let me tell you, those people clearly don’t understand that just being at home is a full-time job in itself. Your “office” is basically 24/7, and there are no water cooler breaks. But guess what? You’re doing amazing. I see you teaching ABCs, diffusing tantrums, and managing your own personal version of a tiny but mighty corporation. Keep going, mama—you’re raising humans, and that’s no small feat.

The Work-From-Home Hustle

And for those of you running a business from home or side-hustling between school drop-offs and diaper changes, you’re showing us all what it means to build your dream and raise a family at the same time. I know it can feel like a balancing act that requires superhuman energy (and let’s not forget a ridiculous amount of coffee). But I hope you know how powerful that is. You’re showing your kids what it means to chase after something you love, to build, create, and thrive. And yes, some days you might feel like everything is on fire—but, hey, fires can be put out, right? (Preferably before the kids start fanning the flames…)

Here’s What I’ve Learned

If I’ve learned anything from motherhood, it’s this: there’s no such thing as a “perfect” mom. We’re all just trying to do our best with what we have. Some days, it’s enough to keep everyone alive and (relatively) clean. Other days, we crush it—feeling like we can take on the world, one to-do list at a time.

And on those days when things feel really hard? Remember, you’re allowed to ask for help. You don’t have to do it all alone. Whether it’s leaning on your partner, calling a friend for a venting session, or even just finding a quiet moment for yourself (yes, those exist!), self-care isn’t selfish—it’s necessary.

Let’s Keep It Real

Motherhood is tough. But it’s also hilarious, heartwarming, and, let’s be honest, a bit bonkers. So, if today didn’t go as planned, give yourself some grace. You’re doing the best you can, and that’s more than enough.

And hey, if you need to hear it from another mom who’s right there with you: You’ve got this. Whether you’re navigating spreadsheets, potty training, or a school project you just found out about the night before—it’s all part of the adventure. And you’re handling it like a champ, even if it doesn’t always feel that way.

So, pour yourself a glass of wine, or make that cup of tea (that you might actually get to drink while it’s still warm), and remember: you’re not alone. We’re all in this crazy, wonderful, chaotic journey together. And if today didn’t go as planned? There’s always tomorrow.

Cheers to you, mama! 💪🍷
